The Radical Republican World View

 

The Right-wing Extremists who have taken over the Republican party live in a bizarre, menacing, parallel universe. It is a universe that, in many respects, is indistinguishable from a well-developed psychotic delusion.

This being America, Republicans have the right to believe whatever they want. However, they are not content to live in their strange universe all alone. In fact they are in the process of trying to suck everyone into their system of hallucinations. If they succeed-- even partially-- the consequences are certain to be dire for The United States of America. Anyone doubting that this is so need only reflect on the lasting damage that they have done to this nation, beginning with Ronald Reagan and reaching its apex-- so far!-- under Bush/Cheney.

Considering their sorry record of incompetence and Machiavelian duplicity, it is obvious that Republican efforts to regain power must be resisted. Yet in order to resist them, it is first necessary to understand their strange belief system.

What follows is a rough outline of the Republican world view. Anyone wishing to verify that this is an accurate representation of their "talking points" (read lies) need search no further than Fox News (sic) or just about any Clear Channel AM radio station. The bizarre opinions listed below are being preached from thousands of electronic pulpits, as gospel, every hour of every day, 365 days per year.

In our area, you can tune your radio to AM 740, AM 950, or AM 700. But no part part of the country is being left out.

Here is what they claim to believe:

The Republican Party:

America is only strong because of the efforts of Republicans.

Without them, America would be militarily weak.

Republicans are responsible for every period of economic prosperity that has ever occurred.

Republicans are the only ones who respect, honor and follow the constitution.

All true Christians are in the Republican party.

Republicans are bravely preparing to defend the country and the constitution against Democratic plans to establish a dictatorship, possibly with United Nations assistance.

Heavily armed paramilitary groups, such as the “Oath Keepers”, are preparing to resist this, and are nothing more than patriots.

The Democratic Party:

Democratic leaders have a “secret Master Plan” for America, which includes the following:

Disarm the American public.

For this reason, every gun owner in the country should be laying in supplies of guns and ammunition now, before Obama and the Democrats begin confiscating weapons.

Destroy the Economy in order to make Americans completely dependent on the federal government.

Turn America into a socialist country and then, into a communist dictatorship.

Destroy capitalism.

Destroy American families.

Weaken the military.

Steal elections by encouraging illegals to vote and by actively helping them do so.

Appoint “activist” judges who will illegally enact the Democratic “socialist agenda” that the American people will not allow to get through congress.

In general, the Democrats are determined to undermine the will of the American people at every turn.

Healthcare:

There are actually very few uninsured people in this country.

Most of the people in this country who are uninsured make a rational choice to forgo insurance coverage in order to save money.

Countries that do have universal coverage, such as Canada and those in Europe, have such shoddy medical care that their citizens are constantly flocking to America to get care that is not available under their own, “socialist” systems.

Private insurance companies in America deliver good service at satisfactory prices.

Industry profits are modest and reasonable.

Industry practices such as denying care, dropping people when they get sick, and forcing people to fight to get their bills paid, are not an issue.

The salaries of insurance company CEO's are also not an issue.

Any minor problems in the healthcare delivery system that might exist can be easily solved with a few “free market” solutions. These include:

Deregulate insurance companies completely.

Allow companies from states with no regulation to compete freely in states that do have regulations.

Change the law so that people cannot sue doctors, insurance companies, hospitals, or large corporations.

The vast majority of Americans are adamantly opposed to the enactment of any type of “Public Option”, yet Democrats are trying to ram it down their throats anyway.  This is yet another area where Obama and the Democrats are determined to ruin free enterprise by making people helplessly dependent on the government.

The Obama administration's health care plan was initially too long to be taken seriously; and now it is too short.

The Environment:

All environmentalists are extremists and “wackos”. The very best that can be said for them is that, like sheep, they are too stupid to think for themselves.

Any environmental issues that might exist are minor and can be solved by the “free market”.

Environmental concerns are being used as an excuse, by environmental extremists and the EPA to:

Raise taxes.

Turn America into a socialist country.

Destroy capitalism.

Help Democrats become dictators.

Global Warming:

Global warming is nothing but a “hoax” and a “fraud”.

Recently, emails from environmental scientists have proven, once and for all, that scientists are purposefully perpetuating a “hoax” on the American people.

Recent record snow storms also prove that it global warming a “hoax”.

Scientists, academics and other “leftists” are using concerns about climate disruption to enact a secret agenda that includes raising taxes, destroying business, destroying the economy, and destroying America.

These same “leftists” are also “hawking” global warming in order to continue to receive grant money from the government for their “junk science” and “bogus research”.

Only a few years ago, the same scientists that now claim to be concerned about global warming were all in a panic about "global cooling". 

American dependence on fossil fuels.

There is no need for any energy conservation.

There are enough fossil fuels still in the ground to last for many centuries.

The use of fossil fuels is being purposefully prevented by environmental “wackos”, who hate capitalism, hate seeing anyone make an honest profit, and ultimately want to destroy America.

The military:

Democrats are “soft on terrorism”, while Republicans always protect the country.

This is why Democrats don't want to allow prisoners to be tortured, even though this always produces reliable, actionable, military information.

America is only militarily strong because of the Republican party.

Democrats do not “support the military”. In fact, they hate the military and are constantly attempting to “weaken” it.

Democrats dislike and disrespect the men and women in the military.

Democrats want America to lose any military conflict that it gets into.

The Media:

All media outlets except for a few (Fox “News”, Clear Channel, News Corp, and the Wall Street Journal) are left wing activist groups. Journalist in the mainstream media are nothing but fools and congenital liars.

The “left-wing” media outlets share the same goals as the Democratic Party: Destroying capitalism and destroying America.

Government:

The weaker that the American federal government becomes, the better off the country is. 

          The federal government of the United States of America always messes up everything that it touches.

The only possible solutions to any of America's problems are “free market” solutions.

These “solutions” include:

Exempting the rich from taxation by taking the capital gains tax rate to zero.

Completely deregulating Big Business.

There are to be no banking regulations.

There are to be no environmental regulations.

There are to be no labor laws.

Making it impossible for people to sue corporations.

Doing away with all “entitlement” programs, such as Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare. (These “socialist” programs are to be “privatized”, replaced by “vouchers”, or done away with all together.)

The Economy and the Banks:

Current problems with the economy and the banks in this country do not have anything to do with deregulation or with arrogant, greedy, shortsighted bankers. 

          Current problems with the banks are also completely unrelated to the fact that former Republican Senator Phil Graham spearheaded a successful campaign to change the law to allow banks to make speculative bets in the stock market while remaining federally insured against any loss.  

All bank problems have been caused by Barney Frank and the Democrats, who forced banks to make housing loans to people (principally minorities) who did not deserve them and were trying to get something for nothing.

Government should not get involved in the process of deciding how big the “bonuses” of bank executives should be.

The only sure way to fix the economy is to lower taxes on the rich and completely deregulate Big Business.

Obama and the Democrats are entirely responsible for existing problems in the economy, and, in fact, they are making the situation worse with their “socialist” bailout and ineffective stimulus package.

Ruining the economy is actually part of Obama's plan to destroy capitalism and make all Americans dependent on the federal government.

Taxation:

Republicans always balance the budget and act responsibly. Democrats always increase America's debt.

Exempting the super-rich from taxation, by doing away with capital gains taxes and inheritance taxes, is a simple, straightforward fix that is guaranteed to “fix” the economy and increase tax revenues.

Sarah Palin:

She is a smart, well educated and well informed.

Her recent autobiography proves this.

She is being unjustly vilified and pilloried by the liberal media, who do not like her because she is a moral, Christian lady who has strong family values.

Ronald Reagan :

He was one of the best presidents that America ever had. In fact, he may very well have been THE best American president of all time.

He singlehandedly defeated the Soviet Union, simply by “playing hardball” with them.

He brought about an unprecedented era of economic prosperity by reducing unnecessary regulation on business and by reducing taxes on the rich.

He deserves to be added to Mount Rushmore.

Republicans should always ask themselves the question “What Would Reagan Do?”.

Barrack Obama:

Democrats have built a “cult” around Obama, and consider him to be “The Messiah” or “The Anointed One”.

Obama is “siding with the Moslems” against America, just like he said that he would do in his autobiography.

This is why Obama is still refusing to “put the country on a war footing”.

Obama could possibly be the Anti-Christ.

 

I cannot blame anyone for suspecting that I am exaggerating this list of Right-wing beliefs. After all, what rational person could honestly believe such things? And how many irrational people can there be in this country?

For that reason, I very much hope that you will verify it for yourself. Simply turn on Clear Channel or Fox News and listen. If anything, I have understated the situation.
